
William is an experienced litigator providing legal counsel for a myriad of dispute resolution matters including insurance, commercial and employment law. William has appeared before a number of boards and tribunals as well as the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
In recent years, a significant component of William’s practice has involved private mediation and arbitration. These dispute resolution processes have provided clients with timely and cost effective resolutions. William has successfully completed in-depth courses directed by the Conflict Management Group of Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is based on the Harvard Negotiation Project Model. This training has fostered fundamental negotiation skills allowing participants to more effectively manage complex issues and problems.
William has represented a range of litigation clients including institutions, large international corporations as well as privately held business enterprises. William strives to anticipate clients’ needs, advance their interests and, wherever possible, exceed their expectations. These goals are achieved through extensive preparation and frequent communications with clients.
